Cameroonian International Frank Etouga scored twice to help Asante Kotoko beat Dreams FC 2-0 and as well pull clear at the top of the table.
Asante Kotoko had the lion share of possession in the opening minutes of the game but the first big chance of the game fell to Dreams FC. Ali Huzaif pounced on a mistake by the Kotoko defense but failed to keep his final effort down.
The Porcupine Warriors continued to see more of the ball but were dealt with another scare in the final minutes of the first half, Ibrahim Danlad made a one hand save to deny Ibrahim Issah in a one on one situation.
Just minutes into the second half, Dreams came close once again, Ali Huzaif met a good crossing but skied his effort from close range.
Unhappy with his team’s display, Prosper Narteh Ogum made a change in the 52nd minute, bringing on Mudasiru Salifu for Dickson Afoakwa.
The substitutions paid off as Asante Kotoko started to pile pressure on Dreams and were rewarded with the opener in the 72nd minute, Frank Etouga scored from the spot-kick.
