Former Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu Mensah has declared his support for Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
The Bayern Leverkusen defender joins a lengthy list of foreign players to declare their support for the two times African Champions.
“I support Asante Kotoko even though I haven’t followed Ghana football that much”, he said on Happy Sports.
“Asante Kotoko is a tradition for the family. Hopefully, I will now follow some games in the Ghana Premier League”
The 23-year old arrived in Ghana earlier this week, making a return after 16 years absence. Despite being in Ghana for only few days, Fosu has divulged his undying love for Ghana Jollof and musician King Promise.
“I have enjoyed a lot here in Ghana. The last time I was here was 16 years ago. I love Ghana Jollof and I enjoy King Promise music. He is a good musician.
Timothy Fosu was born in Netherlands to Ghanaian parents. He has represented Netherlands at youth level and made three appearances for the senior national team. However, he’s still eligible to represent Ghana.
