The World football governing body FIFA have passed their final verdict on the ongoing legal tussle between Asante Kotoko and Esperance de Tunis over the illicit signing of Emmanuel Clottey by Asante Kotoko in 2015.
FIFA have ordered Asante Kotoko to make full payment of $180,000.00 fee to the Tunisia giants as Clottey’s transfer fee.
The Porcupine warriors have also been ordered to pay an interest of $45,000.00 to Esperance, this comes in as a result of the delay in the payment of the transfer fee to Esperance.
Kotoko will also pay an addition $15,000.00 to the committee that sat on the case. All in total making $240,000.00
Asante Kotoko have been given 10th May, 2020 as ultimatum by FIFA to make full payment of the amount. Failure to do so will see the Ghanaian giants demoted to Division One.
