“Felix Annan has a mountain to climb to regain position as Kotoko’s first-choice goalkeeper” – Kotoko goalkeepers trainer

Asante Kotoko’s deputy goalkeeping coach, Sampson Appiah has stated that it’ll be difficult for Felix Annan to reclaim his position as the first-choice goalkeeper of the club.

Felix Annan started the season as Kotoko’s number one goalkeeper, but he didn’t again feature for the club in the league after gameweek 4’s fixture against Medeama in Tarkwa.

The shot stopper was given permission by the club to have his wedding ceremony after the game against Medeama in mid January.

Kwame Baah who stepped in to replace him didn’t look back. He performed spectacularly and managed to keep 6 clean-sheets in 10 games.

Assistant goalkeeper’s trainer, Sampson Appiah in an interview with Kweku Osei TV on YouTube questioned why Baah should be dropped for Felix Annan considering he’s doing well.

“Felix used to be our first choice goalie before his wedding ceremony but Kwame Baah grabbed the opportunity and did very well without conceding most in matches so how can you drop him?.

“The supporters would have killed us if Annan underperforms when given the nod. There’s no personal hatred for him but following the rules of the game. Hard work will be the secret of him regaining his position devoid of any envies.” he concluded.

Felix Annan will hope he can defy all odds and reclaim his position as Kotoko’s number one when the new season begins.
