Former Ghana international, Nii Odartey Lamptey has advised Felix Annan to stay at Kotoko and fight for his position.
Felix Annan started last season as Kotoko’s number one goalkeeper, but he didn’t again feature for the club in the league after gameweek 4’s fixture against Medeama in Tarkwa.
The shot stopper was given permission by the club to have his wedding ceremony after the game against Medeama in mid January.
Kwame Baah who stepped in to replace him didn’t look back. He performed spectacularly and managed to keep 6 clean-sheets in 10 games.
Just recently, Kotoko announced the arrival of former Azam shot stopper Razak Abalora. Abalora’s arrival has left a lot of football fans believing Annan will drop further down the pecking order.
Nii Odartey Lamptey has advised the 2019 SWAG local footballer of the year to stay at the club this season and fight for his position.
“For now Felix Annan has to fight for his position at the club this season”, Odartey Lamptey told Happy FM
“If he is not able to reclaim his spot then he should seek other opportunities elsewhere as other clubs will also be interested. He should fight for his position and not give up,” he added.
Nevertheless, former Kotoko striker, Yahaya Mohammed has advised Felix Annan to seek a loan move from Kotoko to prove his worth.
“I will advise him to seek a loan move elsewhere because, from the look of things he will struggle to get playtime or be in the post, Yahaya Mohammed said in an interview on Happy FM.
“Going on a loan move will also help him to prove his worth to the Kotoko coach and they may even request for him to come back”.
“I will be very happy if he joins Aduana Stars because he is not a bad player”, he ended.
According to reports, Felix Annan is linked with a loan move to Dreams FC.
