Posted by Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has earned a late call-up for the Black Stars’ African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sudan later this month.
The Black Stars will return to competitive action on Thursday, November 12 in a AFCON qualifier against Sudan at the Cape Coast stadium, before travelling to Khartoum to face the Falcons five days later in the reverse fixture.
Majeed Ashimeru was initially left of the 23-man squad by CK Akonnor, but has now been handed a late call-up for the aforementioned games.
However, it remains unclear who the Salzburg midfielder will replace in the team.
Ashimeru has been in fine form this season for Salzburg, he has featured in 6 league games and provided 3 assists.
Ghana currently sit first in group C with 6 points after beating South Africa 2-0 and São Tomé and Principe 1-0.
