Former Great Olympics and Ebusua Dwarfs midfielder George Asamoah has signed for Cyprus-based outfit MEAP Nisou, MahamaShaibu.com can exclusively report.

George Asamoah joins the Cyprus second tier outfit on a 2-year deal following the expiration of his contract with Great Olympics.

The 24-year has been one of the best midfielders in the Ghana Premier League in recent years, featuring for Inter Allies, WAFA, Ebusua Dwarfs and most recently Accra Great Olympics.

George Asamoah made his name during his stint with Ebusua Dwarfs in the 2020/21 season, where he scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 33 appearances.

Asamoah’s performances earned him a call-up to the Black Galaxies, formerly Local Black Stars. He was also amongst 32-local players who were handed call-up to the Black Stars by CK Akonnor for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against South African and Sao Tome and Principe.

However, he failed to make the final squad for the qualifiers.

George Asamoah is expected to improve the MEAP Nisou side that has set sights on securing promotion to the topflight league by the end of the season.
