Berekum United youngster Prince Adu Kwabena has earned a late call-up for the Black Stars’ African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sudan later this month.
The Black Stars will return to competitive action on Thursday, November 12 in a AFCON qualifier against Sudan at the Cape Coast stadium, before travelling to Khartoum to face the Falcons five days later in the reverse fixture.
Bechem United youngster, Prince Adu Kwabena, who broke into the limelight after his scintillating performances in the annulled 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season has been handed a late call up for the aforementioned games.
The youngster, who scored 8 league goals in just 12 matches for Bechem United in the 2019/20 Premier league season and his currently with the Black Satellites (U20) as they prepare for WAFU Qualifying tournament to be staged in Togo later this month has been handed a late call-up.
He will replace Nuremberg born Ghanaian forward Jamie Lewelling who according to reports rejected a Black Stars call-up.
Prince Adu Kwabena was recently named in the list of Guardian’s 60 Best Young Talents (born in 2003) in the world.
Ghana currently sit first in group C with 6 points after beating South Africa 2-0 and São Tomé and Principe 1-0.
