Erstwhile Dreams FC midfielder Samuel Alabi joins FC Luzern

Former Dreams FC midfielder Samuel Alabi has joined Swiss outfit FC Luzern from Hapoel Ashdod.

Alabi, who joined Hapoel Ashdod permanently in June after impressing on loan from Dreams FC last year joins Luzern on a 4-year-contract for an undisclosed fee.

“Samuel Alabi is moving from FC Ashdod (Israel) to Central Switzerland with immediate effect. The 20-year-old Ghanaian today signed a contract that will run until June 30, 2024, and will intensify the FC Luzern offensive in the future”, a statement from the Swiss side to confirm the signing of the midfielder has said.

The 20-year-old after sealing his move is expected to spend the next eight days in quarantine, a move adopted by the Swiss government to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The former Dreams player will resume training with his new teammates after his eight days mandatory quarantine.

Samuel Alabi started his career with Still Believe, a feeder club to Dreams FC. After impressing, he was promoted to the senior team, where he had the chance to travel abroad to join Israeli fold Hapoel Ashdod.
