Posted by Ghanaian youngster Ernest Nuamah has bagged three individual awards following his outstanding display with FC Nordsjælland in the 2022/23 Danish Superliga season.
Ernest Nuamah was named Danish Superliga Player of the Year voted by the league’s penal of experts, Spring Best Player award by the Superliga head coaches and the Player of the Year award voted by the Superliga players.
The 19-year old shone throughout the campaign and came close to leading FC Nordsjælland to winning their first Danish Superliga title since the 2011/12 season, falling short to Copenhagen.
Ernest Nuamah made 30 league appearances for FC Nordsjælland, scoring 12 goals and providing 4 assists.
In a social media post, the 19-year expressed his gratitude to the coaches and teammates at FC Nordsjælland for what he describes as an “incredible” and “unforgettable” season.
“An incredible season, reflecting back on an unforgettable season filled with passion & resilience. We’ve fought hard as a youthful team & our silver medal is a shining emblem of our hardwork. It’s a testament to our team spirit & teamwork.
“I’m humbled to be recognised as profile of the spring as well as Best Player & Best Young Player of the season. This is for us all, it wouldn’t be possible without my amazing teammates, coaches & importantly the fans (wild tigers).
“Although disappointed without the ultimate price, Landsban Here’s to us and to a future filled with even more success. Onwards and upwards. Proud Asafo Boy!”
Ernest Nuamah’s scintillating display has earned him a place in Ghana’s senior squad for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar at the Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
The youngster who played a key role in the Black Meteors’ (U-23) qualification to the 2023 U-23 AFCON is expected make the final squad for the competition to be staged in Morocco later this month.
