Eight (8) of the Twenty (25) players handed call-up by newly appointed boss Chris Hughton reported to camp on the first day and were involved in a little shakeup at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The eight players in camp currently include; skipper Andre Ayew, Jojo Wollacott, Antoine Semenyo, Joseph Paintsil, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer, Joseph Aidoo, Daniel Amartey and Inaki Williams.

The rest of the team are expected to arrive in the country on Monday night. The team will fly to Kumasi tomorrow, where they’ll intensify preparations for the double header against Angola.

Ghana will first play Angola at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Thursday, March 23 before travelling to Luanda on March 27, 2023 for the reverse fixture.

The Black Stars are joint top of the Group E table with 4 points from two games following a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw with Central African Republic in June last year.
