Dwarfs dwarfed by Eleven Wonders

Techiman Eleven Wonders continued their impressive start to the new Premier league season as they defeated Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0.

Eleven Wonders came into the game on the back of an impressive performance against Asante Kotoko in Accra, whiles Dwarfs picked up a point in the Central region derby against Elmina Sharks.

The first half of the game was completely dominated by Eleven Wonders who missed a number of chances before breaking the deadlock from the spot in the 31st minute through Tetteh Nortey.

Despite being 1-0 up, Eleven Wonders didn’t take their feet off the pedal, they continued to press Dwarfs but again failed to make good use of their chances, Abdul Mugeese missed a number of those chances.

Dwarfs were reduced to 10 men in the 73rd minute, Prince Kpodo was giving the marching off orders for a reckless foul on the opponent.

Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu made good use of the a man advantage, he made reinforcement in attack, bringing on last week’s hero Prince Okraku and Ollenu Ashitey.

The substitution paid off, Eleven Wonders killed the game off in additional time, Prince Okraku controlled a good pass from Ollenu Ashitey and calmly beat goalkeeper Razak Issah.

The game ended 2-0, Eleven Wonders carry all 3 points.

Eleven Wonders’ next game will be against Liberty Professionals in Dansoman, whiles Dwarfs will welcome Berekum Chelsea to Cape Coast.
