Dreams FC stun Medeama in Tarkwa

Dreams FC ended the first round of the 2021/22 Premier league season with a rare away win, beating Medeama 1-0 at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.

The game was initially scheduled to take place on Sunday but was postponed due to the unfriendly nature of the field after a heavy downpour.

Medeama dominated the opening minutes of the game but found themselves a goal down in the 30th minute, Sylvester Simba scored for Dreams.

Minutes later, Medeama nearly pulled parity, Rashid Nortey went round the goalkeeper and struck the ball towards goal but his effort was cleared off the line.

Medeama dominated the second half of the game and created a number of good chances but were denied by heroic defending and goalkeeper Koomson Augustine.

The game ended 1-0. Dreams bounced back to winning ways whiles Medeama suffer consecutive 1-0 defeats.

Medeama after the first round of the ongoing season sit in 6th place on the league log with 26 points, whiles Dreams sit in 9th place with 23 points.
