Dreams FC score in either half to down Samartex

Dreams FC defeated fellow betPawa Premier League side, Samartex 2-0 in a friendly encounter at the Bwoodin Sports Complex in NanaKroom.

The opening minutes of the game was cagily contested but Dreams FC went into the interval a goal up, courtesy a 25th minute Gael Aholou strike.

Dreams doubled their lead and wrapped up the game in the opening minutes of the second half, Ali Huzaif the scorer of the goal.

Both teams used the friendly game to prepare for their upcoming assignments. Samartex are preparing for the upcoming betPawa Premier League which kicks off next month, while Dreams are preparing for the CAF Confederation Cup.

Dreams are scheduled to represent Ghana in the 2023/24 Confederation Cup after winning last season’s MTN FA Cup. The club has been paired against Guinea fold Milo FC De Kankan.

Dreams will travel away for the first leg in Conakry on Saturday, August 20, before hosting their opponents at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 27.

Should Dreams go past the round, they’ll come up against the winner of the game between AS Dounes of Niger Vs Kallon FC of Sierra Leone, with the winner securing a place in the group stages of the Confederation Cup.
