Dreams FC announce the signing of Sulemana Suweidu Suhuyini and Francis Odoom

MTN FA Cup holders, Dreams FC have wrapped up a deal for midfielders Sulemana Suweidu Suhuyini and Francis Odoom.

Sulemana Suweidu Suhuyini joins Dreams on a 4-year deal from Access Division One League side, Steadfast FC after fruitful negotiations and passing mandatory medicals.

“Dreams FC is pleased to announce the signing of Sulemana Suweidu Suhiyini. The attacking midfielder joins us from Division One League club Steadfast FC,” read a statement from Dreams.

“Suweidu has signed a 4year contract having passed a medical. He has already joined his teammates in preparation for our CAF Confederation Cup opener against Milo FC,” the statement added.

The youngster has been integral member of Steadfast in the last two seasons, helping the team secure back to back third place finishes in Zone One and Zone One A of the Access Bank Division One League.

Speaking after signing, Sulemana said: “I am thrilled to sign this contract and become part of this team. I am grateful for the opportunity to play the sport I love at the highest level and I am committed to working hard and contributing to the success of the team.

“I want to thank everyone who has helped me to get to this point and I am excited to get started and make the most of this opportunity,” he added.

Francis Odoom, a midfielder, also joins Dreams FC from Greater Accra-based Division Three side, Topscout Football Academy on a four-year deal.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of Francis Odoom for the upcoming season. The midfielder joins us from Topscout Football Academy,” said Dreams in a statement.

“Odoom has committed his future to the club till 2027 after passing his medicals earlier this week. He has already joined his teammates for the preseason.”

Dreams are currently preparing for the 2023/24 CAF Confederations Cup, where they’ll come up against Guinea fold Milo FC De Kankan in the Preliminary Round of the competition.

The first leg of the tie is scheduled for Sunday, August 20 in Conakry and the second leg on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Also, the team will kick off the 2023/24 league season against new boys Nations FC at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu between Friday, September 15 to Monday, September 18, 2023.
