The draw for the Preliminary rounds of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup has been postponed.
The draw for the two prestigious continental competitions was initially scheduled to take place on Monday, August 8, 2022 but has now been postponed to Tuesday, 09 August 2022.
The draw which will mark the beginning of the two competitions will take place in Cairo, Egypt at 6:00pm.
As winners of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will represent Ghana in the two competitions.
Asante Kotoko will know their opponents for the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on Tuesday, while Hearts of Oak together with twelve other clubs have been exempted from the first preliminary stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The other clubs exempted are USM Alger, JS Saoura, GD Sagrada, CS Noirs, DCM Pembe, Pyramids, RS Berkane, Marumo Gallants, Azam, CS Sfaxien, Club Africain and Zesco United.
For the CAF Champions League; Wydad Athletic Club, Raja Club Athletic, Mamelodi Sundowns, Esperance, TP Mazembe and Al Ahly have been exempted from participating in the first preliminary round.

Second Round (Home/Away): 07 – 9 October / 14 – 16 October 2022
Second Additional Round – CAF Confederation Cup (Home/Away): 2 November/ 9 November 2022
