Double boost for Hearts of Oak ahead of Nsoatreman visit

Linda Mtange and Michelle Sarpong have returned to Hearts of Oak training ahead of the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League Gameweek two fixture against Nsoatreman.

The duo suffered respective injuries in preseason and were not part of the squad that featured in the 1-0 defeat to Real Tamale United (RTU) in the opening game of the new season on Friday.

Linda Mtange and Michelle Sarpong have both recuperated from the injuries and returned to full training on Monday, September 13 as preparations for the game against Nsoatreman on Sunday, September 24 at the Accra Sports Stadium gets underway.

The arrival of the duo is a big boost to the Phobians who are looking to dump the defeat to RTU and bounce back to winning ways against Nsoatreman.

Mtange was a key member of the Hearts team last season, featuring in 24 league games and scoring 4 goals. Sarpong, a graduate of Auroras and a member of the Hearts team that won the 2020/21 Premier League title and the FA Cup is returning from a successful loan spell at Dreams FC last season.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak as part of their preparations for the game against Nsoatreman will take on Eddies Football Club in a friendly game at the Kpobiman Sports Complex on Tuesday, September 19 at 3pm.
