Goalkeeper Dennis Votere has officially become a free agent following the mutual termination of his contract with Accra Lions.
Regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier League, Dennis Votere joined Accra Lions at the the beginning of the 2022/23 football season from the now defunct AshantiGold.
The goalkeeper before joining Accra Lions was fantastic for AshantiGold, featuring for the team in 28 of their 34 league games. However, he failed to replicate that consistency at Accra Lions due to off-field issues, consequently leading to his mutual departure.
“I’ll like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation to the management of Accra Lions for their services and understanding. I’m grateful for the support I was given at the club, which speaks volume of the values and ethics of the club,” wrote the goalkeeper in a short statement.
“I’m grateful for all the good times we had together and I wish nothing but the best to the club. I really hope this is the start of a new era for this amazing club.
“As I say goodbye, I’m looking forward to what the future holds. Thank you once again. I am truly honoured and proud and will always be one of you!” he added.
Following Dennis Votere’s departure from Accra Lions, where he made two league appearances, the goalkeeper is open to joining a new club.
Dennis Votere has already received interest from two unnamed betPawa Premier League clubs. Howbeit, he has said that he will take his time to make a decision.
