Deadly forward Richard Danso joins Albanian champions KF Tirana

Albanian champions KF Tirana have confirmed the arrival of youngster Richard Danso.

The 20-year-old put pen to paper and signed a 4-year-deal with the Albanian champions after completing a mandatory medical over the weekend.

“KF Tirana strengthens attack. The club announces the presentation of the player Richard Danso. The 20-year-old striker joins the club today and starts his journey with the white blouse for the next 4 years. Danso has been trained this afternoon with the team immediately under coach Egbo’s orders,” the club announced on Facebook.

The young forward was part of the Ghana squad at the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup in India where the Black Starlets reached the quarterfinals

He becomes the latest Ghanaian to join Tirana in recent years after Winnful Cobinnah, Derek Sasaraku, Ibrahim Sulley and Isaac Gyamfi.

The Ghanaian quintet are expected to play a key role in coach Ndubuisi Egbo’s side as they seek to retain the Albanian championship title.

Danso previously played for Ghanaian side WAFA, North Texas SC and Étoile Sportive du Sahel.
