Accra Great Olympics have completed the signing of former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, MahamaShaibu.com can exclusively report.
The 31-year old joins the Dade boys on a year deal after successful negotiations, pending medicals and official announcement.
Agyemang will become the latest ‘high profile’ player to play in the Ghana Premier League in recent times after Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari and Samuel Inkoom.
The arrival of the 31-year old will improve the Great Olympics team that has sight sets on winning the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
Agyemang Badu began his professional career in Ghana with Berekum Arsenal, before moving on loan to Asante Kotoko and then on another loan to Spanish side Recreativo de Huelva.
Badu from then joined Udinese, where he spent a decade and made over 200 appearances for the team in all competitions.
The 31-year old later played for Bursaspor, Hellas Verona and most recently Qingdao F.C of China.
At national level, Agyemang Badu made 78 appearances for the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars and scored 11 goals.
He was part of the Black Satellites (U-20) team that won the 2009 World Cup in Egypt, scoring the last penalty in shootouts against Brazil in the final.
