Ghanaian midfielder Cletus Nombil was fantastic for FC Petrzalka 1898 as they recorded a 2-0 win against Trebisov at the fully packed Stadium FC Petržalka 1898 on Sunday.
Cletus who arrived at the Bratislava-based side in July this year was handed a starting role by Head Coach, Michael Kuruc, securing his 7th consecutive appearance for the team.
The 23-year old lasted the entire duration and was fantastic at the center of the pitch, giving the defense proper cover and connecting the defense with the midfield.
Cletus Nombil’s performance had an effect on the game as Petrzalka 1898 defeated Trebisov 2-0, courtesy goals from Nikita Kelembet and Patrik Dantek in either half.
The win earns the team their 3rd victory this season, ending a run of two consecutive defeats and getting back on track on the ambition to secure qualification to the topflight league by the end of the season.
