Head Coach of the Black Stars Chris Hughton has augmented his team for the friendly game against Liberia on Tuesday, September 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Chris Hughton makes an addition to the team following the withdrawal of Baba Rahman from the squad due to injury.

Baba Rahman was handed a starting role in the 2-1 comeback win against Central African Republic on Thursday but was substituted in the 69th minute due to an injury.

The injury has ruled the former Chelsea left-back out of the friendly against Liberia. In his place Medeama’s left-back, Fatawu Hamidu has drafted into the team, earning his maiden call-up.

Fatawu Hamidu has been one of the best left-backs in the country in the last two seasons, featuring for Accra Lions and Medeama in the two seasons.

The 24-year played an integral role for the Medeama in their title winning campaign, making 18 appearances and scoring 2 goals.
