Posted by Chelsea fans have taken to social media to urge the club to recall Ghanaian international Baba Rahman from his loan stint at Championship side Reading following the injury to Ben Chilwell.
The Blues were dealt with a heavy blow on Tuesday when it was revealed that Ben Chilwell will need knee surgery following a damage he made to his anterior cruciate ligament in the 4-0 Champions League win against Juventus in November.
Chelsea after the injury took the decision to attempt a conservative rehab approach. Unfortunately Ben Chilwell was unable to progress and the club announced that he will undergo surgical repair.
The situation has left the club in a tight corner. This means that Chelsea have only Marcos Alonso has their fit left back.
Per reports, the Blues are weighing the option of acquiring the services of Everton left back Luca Digne on loan for rest of the season.
However, a section of the supporters of the club believe it’ll be unwise to make such a move, urging the club to recall Baba Rahman who is currently doing well at Reading.
