Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko has taken a swipe at current Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko players players. The talented midfielder in an interview claimed none of them would even make the bench of 2004 CAF Confederation cup final.
Current players in the Premier league have in recent years been heavily censured by the media and ex-premier league stars. Majority of these players have been deemed “not good enough” or not having the right attitude to play in the premier league. Charles Taylor has also added his voice to that subject matter.
“In our generation we play with determination and want the current generation of Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak players to learn from us so that they will be better than us,” he told Ashh FM.
“When you compare our era example Stephen Oduro was a good player and he played beautiful football.”
“There is no player in both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak currently who plays like Stephen Oduro.”
“This current players of Kotoko and Hearts are “too known” they will even tell you, the old player, you have finished with your career. Making them unwilling to receive advise from us.”
“In the 2004 Confederations Cup squad, none of Kotoko and Hearts current players will be a starter. Even none of them will get a position in our team, it will be very difficult for them to get a chance on bench,” Taylor ended.
