Reports gathered by MahamaShaibu.com indicates that the current caretaker of Thomas Partey’s colts club in Ashaiman, Revelation FC has been kidnapped.
This comes in after news were rife this week that Revelation FC received €750,000 as their share of training and compensation from Thomas Partey’s transfer from Atletico Madrid to Arsenal, as FIFA regulations require.
In a Facebook post sighted by MahamaShaibu.com, it was indicated that the caretaker, whose name was revealed as Kojo left home this dawn to train with his team at the beach but he never got there.
Several attempts to reach him through his phone was unsuccessful as he wasn’t answering the calls.
However, after numerous attempts, he answered the call of one of his former players called Papa, mumbled to him that he was under attack and quickly dropped the call.
All attempts to reach him afterwards has been futile. The case has been reported to the Ghana Police Service.
As it stands, it is unclear what the motivation behind the kidnapping is, but everything indicates that the robbers want their share of the €750,000 that has reportedly hit the accounts of Revelation FC.
Meanwhile, bank roller of Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Palmer, who according to the reports that were rife this week has also received €500,000 as training and compensation fee front the Partey transfer has debunk those reports. Stating he hasn’t received any financial benefit from the move yet.
