Ghanaian forward Caleb Ekuban on Wednesday night won the Turkish cup with Trabzonspor.
After finishing second in the just end Super Lig season, Trabzonspor were hoping to end the season with a laurel in their bag when they played Alanyaspor in the Turkish cup final.
Caleb Ekuban on the night earned a place in the starting 11, but he unfortunately picked up an injury and was subbed off with just 5 minutes to the recess.
A goal in each half from Abdülkadir Ömür and Alexander Sörloth secured Trabzonspor their 9th Turkish Cup and Caleb Ekuban’s first career trophy.
Ekuban joined the team at full time to celebrate the triumph.
The 26-year-old had a fine season with Trabzonspor, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists in 33 games.
