CAF CC: 24-man Hearts of Oak squad to fly out of Ghana for JS Saoura clash on Wednesday

Hearts of Oak will travel to Algeria on Wednesday for the 2nd leg of the final qualifying round of the CAF Confederation Cup against Algerian side JS Saoura.

The Phobians won the first leg 2-0 and will need a win or draw to progress to the group stages of the competition. A defeat by a one goal margin will also be enough for the Phobians.

In the squad for the game is Robert Addo Sowah, Larry Sumaila and Caleb Amankwah who didn’t make the team for the first encounter.

Midfield kingpin Salifu Ibrabim who was subbed off in opening minutes of the second half on Sunday due to injury also makes the squad.

Gladson Awako, who joined the club from rivals Great Olympics in August and started team training for the first time since September due to illness didn’t make the squad.

The Phobians will fly to Algeria for the reverse leg fixture on Wednesday.

The game will take place at the Stade 20 Août 1955 on Sunday at 16:40 GMT.
