Brighton youngster Tariq Lamptey has earned nomination for the EA Sports Player of the Month for September.
Tariq, who was born in United Kingdom (UK) to Ghanaian parents has had a amazing start to the 2020/21 Premier league season.
The right back, who is gradually becoming a headache for defenses with his energy, pace, quick-feet and trickery featured in 3 games, which came against Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United.
He provided an assist in those games, completed 57% of his dribbles, won 63% of his duels, completed 74% of his passes and won two penalties for Brighton, which is the most in the league so far.
Lamptey will compete with the likes of, Patrick Bamford, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Harry Kane, Timothy Castagne, Tariq Lamptey, Sadio Mane, James Rodriguez and Jamie Vardy.
The youngster, who started is career at Chelsea and moved to Brighton in January 2019 is eligible to play for Ghana. He has however featured for England at Juvenile level (U-18, 19, 20, 21).
According to reports, the Ghana FA have been observing his growth and have already made contact with the defender over the possibility of playing for Ghana.
