BREAKING NEWS: GFA make decision on Black Stars technical team for Nigeria World Cup playoff

The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has made a decision on a Black Stars technical team for the playoff of 2022 FIFA World Cup against Nigeria.

Following Ghana’s poor display at the just ended African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon, the Ghana FA decided to part ways with head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac and as well dissolved the technical team.

The FA after weeks of intensive search has made a decision on a new Black Stars technical team. Assistant head coach of German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, Otto Addo will be the new head coach of the team.

Former Asante Kotoko head coach, Didi Dramani and assistant coach of Aston Villa U-23 team, George Boateng will be Assistant coaches, whiles Chris Hughton will occupy the Technical adviser role.

The four man team has been put together to take charge of the two matches against rivals Nigeria. The Black Stars will take on the Super Eagles at the Cape Coast stadium on March 24 before travelling to Nigeria for the 2nd leg at the Abuja Sports stadium on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

A win against Nigeria will earn Ghana a place a the 2022 World Cup to be played in Qatar between 21 November to 18 December.
