Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s trip to Central America to face the Belize national team in an International friendly encounter has been cancelled, the Football Federation of Belize (FFB) has announced.
The Porcupine Warriors were scheduled to play the Central American nation in two friendly games in November this year at the FFB stadium in Belize.
However, a statement from FFB on Friday has disclosed that the friendly games have been cancelled. This is due to the inability of the Belize FA to mobilize players for the game.
The statement read: “The Football Federation of Belize takes this opportunity to inform the general public that the National Team Committee has decided to rescind its previous invitation for Asante Kotoko to play a series of friendly matches against the Belize National A team.
“At this moment, the committee is finding it extremely difficult to mobilize the National A Team as the Premier League of Belize (PLB) will be going into its final games of the opening season for 2022-2023 and the players for the A Team are drawn from the League.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused,” the statement ended.

With the betPawa Premier League still on hold due to an injujcton, Asante Kotoko will now turn their attention to the Ga Mantse Cup against Great Olympics which is slated for Sunday, November, 27, 2022 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
