Super Eagles and Enugu Rangers forward Ifeanyi George has reported been killed in a ghastly motor accident at the age of 26.

Enugu Rangers 🇳🇬 striker Ifeanyi George (26) has been killed in a fatal accident on his way to Lagos on Sunday as the Nigerian league has been suspended due to #COVID19.

The hideous incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday 22nd March, 2020 at Abudu on Benin-Agbor expressway after his car bumped into a parked truck. He was on his way to Lagos following the suspension of the Nigerian league due to the widespread of Coronavirus.
According to reports, the striker was in the car with two other persons, both persons have also been confirmed dead. The two persons have been confirmed as his friend and a team B player.
Ifeanyi George joined Enugu Rangers in 2016 from Enyimba, he has since then been an integral member of the squad.
The former Enyimba man has two caps for the national team. He marked his debut in the country’s African Nations Championship qualifier against Benin Republic in 2017.
Ifeanyi George becomes the second player Nigeria football has lost in the last 2 weeks. Nasarawa United player Chieme Martins also collapsed and died during his side’s match against Katsina United.
