Black Stars shot stopper Jojo Wollacott signs for Hibernian FC

Ghanaian goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott has signed for Scottish fold Hibernian from English League One side Charlton Athletic.

Wollacott joins on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee, Thursday to reuniting with former boss at Bristol City Lee Johnson.

“We’re delighted to bring Jojo to the Club and I’m looking forward to working with him again,” said Lee Johnson as quoted by the club’s website.

“He’s an athletic, brave, and confident goalkeeper, and with big competitions coming up it’s important we’re strong in the goalkeeping department.”

“He’s a player I’ve known for some time and it’s great to see that he’s starting to fulfil his potential. He now has over 100 games under his belt and has played on the international stage with Ghana.

Jojo Wollacott has already joined up with Goalkeeping Coach Stuart Garden and his teammates to prepare for the upcoming cinch Premiership campaign.

Wollacott who has made 11 appearances for the Ghana national team has in the past played for Bristol City, Forest Green Rovers, Swindon Town, Clevedon Town, Weymouth, Bath City, Woking, Truro City and some few other clubs.

The 26-year old failed to make Ghana’s squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar due to a finger injury.
