Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens have been drawn against Rwanda in the first round of the 2024 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations(WAFCON) qualifiers.
The opponents were revealed during a draw conducted on Thursday, 06 July at the Mohamed VI complex located in Rabat.
Ghana will first travel to Kigali to face Rwanda before hosting them in Accra. The two games are scheduled to take place from 18 to 26 September, 2023.
Winner of the two legged fixture will proceed to the second round, where they’ll face the winner of the match between The Gambia and Namibia. The second round games are for 27 November to 5 December, 2023.

The winner of the second round games will join host nation Morocco and 10 others teams for the main tournament.
