Ghana Female U-20 team, the Black Princesses defeated Costa Rican fold Club Sport Herediano FF 6-0 in a friendly encounter in Alajuela.
The Black Princesses scored three goals in either half. Jacqueline Owusu, Doris Boaduwaa and Salamatu Abdulai scored in the first half.
In the second half, Doris Boaduwaa scored her second and the team’s fourth, before Mukarama Abdulai and Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah scored to wrap up the win.
The friendly game against the Costa Rican fold is the team’s final friendly game ahead of the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be played in Costa Rica from Wednesday, August 10 to Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Ghana is making its 6th consecutive appearance at the competition and will hope to go past the first Round for the first time in its history.
The Black Princesses are drawn in Group D and will begin their campaign against the United States of America on Thursday, August 11 before taking on Japan on Sunday, August 14 and the Netherlands on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 respectively.
This is just a fourth division and Beginners team so we should not see this friendlies as achievement right, but rather map up more ideas 😉 😀 😜 👍 to win turf games ahead of the main tasks.
