Ghana’s local national team, the Black Galaxies defeated Ghana’s representatives in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup, Dreams FC 1-0 in a friendly encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The friendly game lasted for over 140 minutes and was played in 4 halves of 35 minutes. Hearts of Oak forward, Issah Kuka scored the only goal of the game from a spot-kick.
The likes of Prince Kwabena Owusu, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Evans Osei Wusu, David Oppong Afrane, Thomas Osae, Seidu Abubakar, Shaibu Yakubu and so on were in action for the Black Galaxies.
Both teams are using the friendly game to prepare for upcoming assignments. Dreams are preparing for the CAF Confederation Cup, where they are scheduled to face Guinea fold Milo FC De Kankan on Saturday, August 20 in Conakry and on Sunday, August 27 in Accra.
For the Black Galaxies, Coach Didi Dramani is accessing the strength of the team in his quest to build a formidable local side for future competitions including the CHAN qualifiers.
The Black Galaxies have been undergoing a holistic player screening exercise since July 15 this year with the aim of creating a comprehensive database for purposes of continuous monitoring of players to make room for moment of players export or need for urgent replacement in the Black stars from a domestic import-proximity wise.
