The Black Galaxies recorded a 4-2 victory against Greater Accra-based Division Two side, Kotoku Shining Stars in a friendly encounter at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Wednesday morning.

Ghana grabbed their goals through a brace from Medeama’s Jonathan Sowah and a goal each from Richmond Lamptey and top scorer of 2022/23 betPawa Premier League, Abednego Tetteh.
Over twenty (20) players featured for the Black Galaxies in the friendly encounter. The likes of Caleb Amankwah, Ali Huzaif, Manaf Umar, Gabriel Bonnah, Seidu Dauda Yussif, Felix Kyei, Augustine Agyapong, Emmanuel Siaw and so on where all in action for the team.

The friendly match is part of a strategy adopted by Coach Didi Dramani to access the strength of the team in his quest to build a formidable local side.

Currently, twenty-seven (27) players are in camp at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence following an initial screening exercise that involved over ninety-seven players drawn from first and second tier clubs.
The squad for the second batch of the second phase of the screening exercise is expected to be announced in the coming days.

The essence of this exercise is to create a comprehensive database for purposes of continuous monitoring of players to make room for moments of players export or need for urgent replacement in the Black stars from a domestic import-proximity wise.
