Ghana’s local national team, the Black Galaxies’ final friendly game ahead of the commencement of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) against Mozambique at the 5 July 1962 Stadium ended abruptly.
The game ended in the 70th minute when Ghana were awarded a penalty after a Mozambique player handled the ball in the box. Head Coach of the Mozambique team was unhappy with the decision, hence ordered his players to leave the pitch.
