Besiktas Football Academy Accra have appealed the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Disciplinary Committee’s decision on the protest case against Union Sportive Avranches.
The Disciplinary Committee threw out a protest filed by Besiktas Football Academy Accra against Union Sportive Avranches in relation to their Division Two League Gameweek 27 fixture.
Besiktas after the match they lost 3-2 filed a protest over the eligibility of a technical member of the Union Sportive Avranches team. Per the protest, the said technical team member does not have the requisite certificate to sit in the dugout for the game.
Besiktas were seeking to be declared winners of the game. However, the Disciplinary Committee after adjudicating the matter threw out the protest.
Besiktas were unhappy with the verdict and have sent an appeal to the Appeals Committee.
Meanwhile, the 2022/33 GARFA Divisional Two middle league will be launched on Tuesday, June 13 and will kickoff on Saturday, June 17 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Accra Athletic, Danbort, Banana Inn, Desidero, Auroras and Still Believe will participate in the middle league, pending the verdict of the appeal.
