Benjamin Yorke and Inkoom’s late penalty misses, Agyenim Boateng’s goal: Highlights of Dreams FC’s win vs Hearts of Oak

Dreams FC defeated holders Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 to knock them out the Round of 32 of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup.

Hearts of Oak had a fast start to the game and had some early chances in the opening 5 minutes, including a penalty appeal which was turned down by the referee.

Dreams struck the opener in the 9th minute, Agyenim Boateng Mensah took advantage of an howler at the back by Richmond Ayi to give his side the lead.

In the 28th minutes, Dreams should have doubled their lead, Van Dijk from close range headed a crossing from Collins Boah wide.

In the second half, Hearts of Oak saw more of the ball but didn’t create many clear cut chances, Kwadwo Obeng Jnr was presented with the best chance before drama unfolded in the final minutes.

Hearts of Oak missed two penalties in the dying minutes of the game. Benjamin Yorke took and missed the first kick, but the Phobians were awarded a chance to retake the kick after the referee spotted the keeper move off his line before the kick was taken.

Dreams threatened to walk off the field but continued the game after peaceful conversations. Hearts of Oak missed the penalty once again, this time Samuel Inkoom was the villain.
