Bechem United hand Karela United their first defeat of the season

Bechem United defeated Karela United 2-1 at the Nana Gyeabour Park on Friday afternoon.

The first half of the game ended scoreless, with both sides having their own share of chances.

Bechem United broke the deadlock just a minute after the recess, Stephen Owusu scored with his head after goalkeeper Richard Baidoo failed to grab a crossing.

Karela intensified their game and pulled parity in the 57th minute, Diawisie Taylor scored to make it 1-1.

Karela nearly took the lead in the 79th minute through Diawisie Taylor, but his effort was smartly kept out by goalkeeper Prince Asempa with this feet.

It looked like the game was ending in a stalemate, but Listowel Amankona stepped up to score the winner for Bechem United in additional time.

The game ended 2-1, Bechem United continue their unbeaten run, whiles Karela United suffer their first defeat of the season. Bechem United skipper Moro Salifu was named NASCO man of the match.
