Posted by Ghana’s Black Meteors (Male U-23) played a 1-1 draw with Egypt in a highly competitive friendly encounter at the Alexandria Stadium.
The Black Meteors opened the scoring in the 10th minute, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh calmly converted a spot-kick that came about after Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was fouled in the box.
Egypt had the chance to level the score from a spot-kick in the 20th minute. However, Ibrahim Adel saw his kick saved by Ibrahim Danlad.
In the 38th minute, Ibrahim Adel made amends of his penalty miss, scoring to make it 1-1.
With just a minute to half time Zubairu Ibrahim was sent off, leaving Ghana with ten men for the entire second half.
