“Baba Yara Stadium, the slaughter house,” – Pitso Mosimane responds to calls to join Asante Kotoko

Former Head Coach of Al Ahly Pitso Mosimane is full of praise for Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

According to Pitso, the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi which is the home ground of Asante Kotoko is a ‘slaughterhouse’, where he signed two players he described as the “magician” and the “hard tackler”, Steven Odoro and Rashid Soumaila.

The three-time CAF Champions League winner was replying to a tweet which was asking him to join Asante Kotoko after he congratulated Congolese coach Florent Ibenge after joining Sudanese fold Al Hilal Omdurman.

Pitso is currently without a club after leaving Egyptian side Al Ahly in June 2022, a club where he successfully won two Champions League trophies in 2 years.

Asante Kotoko is also without a Head Coach following the shocking resignation of Prosper Narteh Ogum.
