Ghanaian left back Baba Rahman failed to secure a move away from Chelsea as the summer transfer window totally comes to a close.

The 26-year-old has featured in only 23 games for the blues, with his last appearance coming in the 2015/16 season. He has since then been loaned successively at Schalke, Reims and Real Mallorca.
Baba Rahman, who missed out on a loan move overseas and was not register by Chelsea for the ongoing English Premier league and UEFA Champions league was expected to join a Championship side on deadline day of the local transfer window.
Middlesborough, Watford and Derby County showed interest, with Middlesborough reported to be front runners to secure his signature.
However, the move failed to materialize, with the reasons reported to be financial demands and other concerns.
The former Dreams FC player is expected to continue training with the first team and get some minutes in the Chelsea development squad to stay fit and target a move in the winter.
