AshantiGold were knocked out of the CAF Confederation cup after losing 2-1 to Salitas at the Stade Du 4 Août.
The Miners after drawing 0-0 in the first leg in Ghana needed a win or a high scoring draw to secure a place in the next round of the competition.
Salitas opened the scoring in the 22nd minute through Olivier Boissy.
AshantiGold came close to leveling matters in the 33rd minute, but Mark Agyekum failed to plant the ball home from close range.
Olivier Boissy scored again in the 45th minute to make it 2-0, before David Abagna pulled one back for AshantiGold a minute later. The first half of the game ended 2-1.
AshantiGold came back from the recess firing and had the ball in the net in the 50th minute, but the goal which was scored by Mark Agyekum was ruled out for offside.
The Miners pushed men forward in the remaining minutes of the game hoping to grab the equalizing goal, but to no avail.
The game ended 2-1. Salitas sail to the next round of the competition.
