Ghana Premier League holders Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman in a friendly encounter next week.
Asante Kotoko was initially scheduled to travel to Turkey for preseason tour. However, the trip was cancelled due to the difficulties in acquiring visa.
The Porcupine Warriors will now travel to Sudan for few days preseason tour.
Asante Kotoko during their tour will face Al Hilal Omdurman in a friendly encounter on Tuesday, August 23 at the Al Hilal Stadium in Sudan.
The friendly game against the Sudanese Champions forms part of the team’s preparation for the 2022/23 football season.
Asante Kotoko will officially begin the new season against rivals Hearts of Oak in the Super Cup on Sunday, September 4 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors will begin their Premier League title defense at home to new boys Nsoatreman between September 9-11.
Nevertheless, that game is expected to be postponed due to the club’s involvement in the first round of the CAF Champions League qualifiers.
Asante Kotoko has been drawn against Burkinabe Champions RC Kadiogo.
