Asante Kotoko thump Kenpong Academy in friendly encounter

Asante Kotoko as part of their preparations for their gameweek 5 Premier League clash against Karela United this weekend were involved in a friendly game against lower tier side Kenpong Academy at the Atonsu Astro Turf.

The Porcupine Warriors demonstrated their superiority as they defeated the Division Two side 5-0.

Head Coach, Prosper Netty Ogum handed starting roles to Kwame Baah, Samuel Appiah, Augustine Agyapong, Maxwell Agyemang, Charles Owuwu, Sheriff Mohammed, Clinton Opoku, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Solomon Sarfo Taylor, Evans Adomako and Stephen Amankonah.

The league leaders went into the break 4-0 up, Evans Adomako, Stephen Amankona, Dickson Afoakwa and Solomon Sarfo Taylor scoring the goals.

At start of the second half, Prosper Netty changed the entire first 11, bringing on Razak Abalora, Christopher Nettey, Imoro Ibrahim, Abdul Ganiu, Andrew Appau, Richard Boadu, Mudasiru Salifu, Fabio Gama, George Mfegue, Mbella Thierry and Isaac Oppong.

The Porcupine Warriors went on to score another goal through Cameroonian import Mbella Etouga and make the scoreline 5-0.

Asante Kotoko will play Karela United at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) park on Sunday at 3:00pm

The Porcupine Warriors sit top of the Ghana Premier League table with 12 points after 4 games.
