Kumasi Asante Kotoko have mutually parted ways with winger Joseph Amoako, a short statement from the club has revealed.
The statement read;,“Joseph Amoako has left the club by mutual consent. The Club thanks Joseph for his time with us and wish him the very best for the future.”
Joseph Amoako before partying ways with Asante Kotoko was under suspension. The 20-year old was indefinitely suspended by the club in May after an altercation with a fan on Facebook, a situation the club described as unacceptable.
Amoako arrived at Asante Kotoko in 2021 from Division Two side, Young Red Bull FC. He had a fine start to life at the club and was transferred to Swedish fold, Helsingborgs IF in February 2022.
At Helsingborg, Amoako struggled for minutes, making just ten appearances and playing a total of 295 minutes for the club in all competitions.

The youngster’s time in Sweden took a further plunge when he was accused and arrested for rape.
After months of investigation, Amoako in March 2023 was found not guilty of the allegations and freed to return to Asante Kotoko. However, he never featured for the club and has now departed on mutual consent.
