Communications Director of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, David Obeng Nyarko has downplayed reports that his outfit has rejected an offer from Belgium Pro League outfit Royal Antwerp for left-back Imoro Ibrahim.

Per a report from Kickgh, Asante Kotoko has rejected an initial €50,000 loan and €200,000 permanent bid for sensational left-back Ibrabim Imoro from Royal Antwerp.

However, Communications Director of the club, David Obeng Nyarko has in a Twitter post downplayed the reports, adding that Asante Kotoko has not received any offer nor engaged in any transfer discussions with Royal Antwerp in respect to Imoro Ibrabim.

“Asante Kotoko has NOT received any offer neither has #AKSC been engaged in any transfer discussions with the said club in respect to Imoro Ibrahim,” David Obeng Nyarko said in a tweet.

Ibrabim Imoro endured an incredible 2021/22 season with the Porcupine Warriors, helping the team win the league title for the first time since the 2013/14 season.

The left-back made 28 league appearances, scored 2 goals and provided 9 assists, the most by any player in the league this term.

Imoro’s performance is likely to attract a plethora of suitors. However, the Porcupine Warriors are hoping to keep him as they set sights on retaining the league title next season and making an impact in the CAF Champions League.
