Asante Kotoko react to reports stipulating that the club has agreed a deal to sign Brazilian midfielder Bruno Leite

Communication Director of Asante Kotoko, David Obeng Nyarko has rubbished reports that his outfit is on the verge of signing Brazilian midfielder Bruno Leite ahead of next season’s campaign.

Per a report from multiple Ghanaian media outlets, the Porcupine Warriors after the end of Fabio Gama’s contract with the club are on the verge of replacing him with another Brazalian named Bruno Leite.

The reports adds that the 22-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Botafogo B, on loan from Athletico Paranaense has already reached an agreement with the club and he’s set to be announced in the coming days.

However, David Obeng Nyarko has in a Twitter post downplayed the reports, labeling them as misleading reports.

“Asante Kotoko has not and will not seal any deal biaa with a Brazilian player called Bruno Leite as being reported in a few tabloids. Kindly disregard those misleading reports,” the tweet read.

He went on to advice fans of the club to pay little attention to the transfer reports they come across during the transfer window.

“Let’s also be advised that in a transfer period speculations would abound but anyone who has keenly followed how the current management of Asante Kotoko operates with transfers would know that most of our targets will only be known after the club has officially annouced,” he added.
