Asante Kotoko expected to announce the signing of four (4) players in the coming days

Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko are expected to announce the signing of four (4) players in the coming days.

The players include; Henry Ansu, Kalo Ouattara, Michael Dwanena and Dawuni Yahaya.

The aforementioned players have reportedly held successfully negotiations with the club and are set to undergo medicals in the coming days.

Defender Henry Ansu and forward Kalo Ouattara join the Porcupine Warriors from Berekum Chelsea. The duo were integral members of the Chelsea team last season.

Ansu made 20 appearances for the team and scored a goal, taking his league appearances for the team to 80 games in three seasons and 8 goals scored.

Ouattara on the other hand made 23 league appearances, scored 5 goals and provided an assist. The 21-year old scored 2 of his 5 goals against Asante Kotoko.

Defensive midfielder Michael Dwanena and defender Dawuni Yahaya also join from West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) and Susubiribi respectively.

The two were fantastic for their respective sides in the Access Bank Division One League last season.

The arrival of the quartet is expected to improve the Asante Kotoko team that has set sights on to building a formidable team that can compete both domestically and internationally.

Meanwhile, the club has communicated to eleven (11) players that their services will no longer be needed.

The players include; Abdul Rafiu Yakubu, Maxwell Agyemang, Andrews Kwadwo Appau, Solomon Sarfo Taylor, Samuel Boateng and Mohammed Alhassan who joined only last season after leaving Hearts of Oak.

Others are; Ernest Osei Opoku, Evans Adomako, Clinton Opoku, Charles Owusu, and Dickson Afoakwa.
